A letter from the editor

HUNTER JAMESON | EDITOR IN CHIEF

To The USD Vista Staff 2015-16,

As I think back to the beginning of my college career, I can honestly say that the best decision I made during my time at USD was joining the school newspaper. Not only have I learned so much about the art of conversation and journalism, but I have also gained some of my most valuable friendships and experiences that will be with me long after this issue is taken off of the stands. I want to wholeheartedly thank every person on my staff for all of the hard work and dedication that you have put in this year. To the contributors, assistants, editors, executive team, and our USD Vista advisors, I am so blessed to have gained so many new perspectives about local, national, and global issues. We helped each other grow to reach our potential. I hope you know that I appreciate the time we’ve spent together. There is truly something special about SLP 403B because that room creates friendships and forms a family in a way I haven’t seen in a long time. You’d think that being in one room for 9 hours straight in one day would drive someone crazy, but I looked forward to that time every Tuesday because of the people I’d get to spend time with. We vary in age, gender, major, personality, and music taste, but we share one love for this newspaper and for our squad. I am honored to have been Editor in Chief this year and wouldn’t have wanted to spend my senior year of college doing anything else.

Sincerely,

Hunter Jameson
