USD baseball is no stranger to their players being drafted into the MLB. The 2022 draft marked the 33rd consecutive year that a MLB team selected an athlete from their program, an accomplishment highly regarded by the program.

The USD Baseball team has one final regular season series coming up against Gonzaga University on May 20, and then will look forward to the WCC championship tournament on May 25. Baseball feels confident about their chances to achieve their goal of winning the tournament and heading to the NCAA regional postseason.

The USD women’s rowing team traveled to Dexter Lake, OR last weekend to race West Coast Conference rivals a few weeks before conference championships. The team finished behind the hosts, Oregon State University, and reigning WCC champions Gonzaga University.

Men’s tennis became WCC regular season champions with a win over Saint Mary’s College on Sunday, preserving their perfect conference record in 2022. Sherri Stephens, head coach of women’s tennis, won her final match at home, and sophomore Andi Xu of USD golf won the Ping Cougar Classic in Provo, UT.
