USD redshirt junior Harrison Kingsley won the Mark Simpson Invitation tournament hosted by the University of Colorado, Boulder on Sept. 28. It’s been Kingsley’s dream to win a collegiate golf tournament since he started playing the sport, and reaching the milestone has only increased his confidence in himself.

USD men’s tennis player August Holmgren got the opportunity of a lifetime to play in a professional tennis tournament, the San Diego Open, over the weekend. Holmgren defeated his first opponent, a former Olympian ranked in the top 100 in the world, but couldn’t quite find enough to overcome the second opponent.

USD volleyball opened their West Coast Conference schedule on Thursday, Sept. 23 against St. Mary’s University. The Toreros dominated the Gaels to win the match in three sets, and continued winning in the conference against the University of the Pacific on Saturday, Sept. 25 with another straight sets victory.
