Where has the time gone?

Time flies in college, especially when it’s packed with busy classes, internships, social events, sports games, and friends to enjoy it all with. One day it’s the first year, and the next it’s somehow senior year, and college is about to come to a close. As the USD juniors soon finish finals and approach their senior year, The USD Vista wanted to gain insight into this impending and exciting transition.

Changes on campus for the spring semester

With the start of the spring semester and an increase in students on campus, there are some new changes to what is and is not available to USD students. While San Diego remains in the most restrictive, purple tier at the time of publication, due to the number of COVID-19 cases, many on-campus dining options, services, and activities are either not being offered or are offering remote services only. However, some select spaces, dining, and services remain open and committed to serving students.

Parking plan is exclusionary

On Sept. 25, the Office of Parking Services at the University of San Diego posted a draft of a new “USD Parking and Mobility Plan” on their website that would take effect next school year. This plan includes major changes to the current parking system, like not allowing first-year students to park on campus, and creating a tiered parking structure that sets several boundaries on where each tier is allowed to park.
