Ed Sheeran’s copyright trial

The federal court in Manhattan has been privy to witnessing English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran’s trial after being accused of copying American R&B singer Marvin Gaye’s soul classic “Let’s Get It On” (1973). The family of Ed Townsend (Gaye’s co-writer) filed the suit in 2017 against Sheeran’s Grammy-winning ballad “Thinking Out Loud” (2014).

Grammys 2023

The music industry’s biggest awards ceremony broke records, expectations and history with its 65th run honoring artists all across the music community. The annual Grammys were held this year at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, recognizing the best albums, recordings and artists of the eligibility year from Oct. 1, 2021, to Sept. 30, 2022.
