The USD football team extended its winning streak in the Pioneer Football League on Saturday, grinding out the victory against Morehead State University. The game was the last regular season home game for 18 seniors, and head coach Dale Lindsey emphasized the important role they have played for USD football in their five years with the program.

The USD women’s rowing team took two boats to Boston, Massachusetts over the weekend to race in the Head of the Charles Regatta, the oldest and best-known fall race in the sport of rowing. USD’s four-person boat finished 10th out of 54 teams, while USD’s eight-person boat placed 11th out of 30.

The women’s soccer team won their first West Coast Conference game against the LMU Lions on Friday, Oct. 15, with first-year Sara Evans scoring twice to catapult the Toreros to victory. Men’s soccer lost in a heartbreaker to San Diego State the same night, with the Aztecs scoring the winner in the 90th minute to hand USD a 1-2 defeat.
