The USD women’s rowing team traveled to Dexter Lake, OR last weekend to race West Coast Conference rivals a few weeks before conference championships. The team finished behind the hosts, Oregon State University, and reigning WCC champions Gonzaga University.

Men’s tennis became WCC regular season champions with a win over Saint Mary’s College on Sunday, preserving their perfect conference record in 2022. Sherri Stephens, head coach of women’s tennis, won her final match at home, and sophomore Andi Xu of USD golf won the Ping Cougar Classic in Provo, UT.

A group of female athletes at San Diego State University launched a lawsuit against the university, alleging Title IX violations with regard to differences in financial aid. The athletes are mostly former members of SDSU’s women’s rowing team, which was cut by the school in 2020.
