On the night of Fashion Week San Diego (FWSD), a line snaked around the corner of F Street and Seventh Avenue. People from all walks of life waited patiently to file into the Andaz Hotel, where the event would take place for the 15th year in a row. Inside the venue, designers, volunteers and elites alike sat beside the runway in anticipation, while others mingled on the rooftop bar.

Many people anticipate the fall season for the popular and widely celebrated holiday of Halloween — a night that consists of spooky decorations and fun costumes. Ocean Alley: Live at Music Box

Sydney psych-reggae-cruise rockers Ocean Alley performed at Music Box this past week, leaving many stunned. First, they gained momentum in Australia, having won Aussie public radio station Triple J’s Hot 100 in 2018 with their hit song “Confidence.” Now in Australia’s music pantheon with the likes of Powderfinger and Australian Crawl, many are eager to see where they go next.

‘There’s More’ live podcast

Every month, the University of San Diego’s campus storytelling initiative “There’s More” hosts a live podcast featuring members of the USD community sharing stories that “[explore] the human condition through the practice of changemaking,” according to the initiative’s website. The initiative is a  collaboration between the College of Arts & Sciences, the Humanities Center and the Changemaking Hub.
